Title:  Quality Assurance Coordinator

 

Qualifications:

 

  1. Minimum Bachelors Degree in Early Education and Care with five years experience in an early education and care setting; Masters Degree preferred.
  2. EEC Director II certification
  3. Minimum 3 years experience in developing and administering training opportunities for early education and care professionals, including Infant and Toddler Educators.
  4. Knowledge and successful implementation experience with:
  5. Experience in educational program planning for all program types.
  6. Proficient positive interpersonal skills to work in partnership with staff, children, parents, and education personnel within the community.

 

Summary:

 

The primary role of the Quality Assurance Coordinator is to successfully design and implement an effective early education and care model based on the curriculum and assessment components of The Creative Curriculum with a concentrated focus on Infants and Toddlers.   In addition, the Quality Assurance Coordinator will provide and develop ongoing support for group and/or individualized training to all Center/Program Directors and Educators in order to ensure program quality and effectiveness, with a dedicated focus on Infants and Toddlers.

 

 

Administrative:

 

  1. Develop, in conjunction with the Asst. VP of Quality Assurance and FCC Development and Training Specialist, an annual training series relative to current Educator needs to ensure quality delivery of services.
  2. Oversee staff development plan with Directors to provide for the maintenance of in-house professional development and growth sessions. Assist Center/Program Directors and Educators with individual Professional Development plans.
  3. Participate as a member of the Square One’s Education Advisory Committee
  4. Attend conferences, workshops and seminars in order to remain current and make recommendations regarding recent developments and trends in Early Education and Care.  
  5. Create and distribute tools to evaluate program areas that address ongoing goal of achieving/maintaining NAEYC accreditation
  6. Provide oversight to Centers and Programs during absence of Director, as assigned by the Executive Vice President of Programs.

 

Programmatic:

 

  1. Observe classrooms to evaluate implementation of developmentally appropriate practice
  2. In conjunction with Center/Program Directors, recommend, advise and confer with Educators in order to ensure maintenance of developmentally appropriate practice.
  3. Participate in discussions and planning stages involving partnership grant opportunities that have direct impact on Educators and classroom environment, with a focus towards Infant and Toddlers.
  4. Provide individual training and/or consultation for
  5. Educators as requested by Center/Program Directors and/or Educators and FCC Providers.
  6. Assist IT Department on issues relating to computers and software in the classroom environment
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of new program models and projects, as assigned.

      

 Physical Requirements:

 

1.      Ability to travel to specific sites and complete observations of Educators

2.      Good visual and mental alertness.

3.  Ability to provide written and or typed documents related to conducting observations and development of reports to demonstrate continued improvements. 

 

Working Condition:

 

1.  Office setting with the ability to concentrate work environment in classroom settings to evaluate, observe, assess and provide recommendations Educators and Center/Program Directors.
